993 AC condensor

Do any of you have the parts diagram showing the position and mounting of the front 993 AC condensor? I may try to retro one in my 911.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark. the picture below may be a little help. the cooler in the pic is actually the oil cooler (with mounted fan visible). it is loose, just slightly out of its regular position. The A/C condensor is mounted on the driver's side in the same fashion--that is, perpendicular to the nose of the car! I believe the air is taken in the main grill/ grills on the front of the nose, then it flows through the cooler or condensor, then is vented out the grills in front of the front wheels.
i'll take a look for more pictures.....but i am not taking the bumper off for more pictures !! (i had the bumper off to change a resistor on the oil cooler, and changed the one for the A/C condensor fan at the same time..same part number.)

Wow Max, that looks like parking lot surgery. Thanks for the info. I bought a used condensor/fan with brackets but can't quite grasp how the thing fits. My ultimate goal is to lose the front and rear SC condensors and still get good ac.

BTW, my move to Seattle is firming up for the first of Sept. Maybe I'll meet up with you at one of the get togethers.

Mark, Scottb just installed a condensor in left front fender of his Carrera. You might want to contact him about how he went about it on a narrow front car. I'm not sure which condensor he used though.

Max,
That's perfect. I kept thinking it faced the front of the car with the top of the unit leaned back. This shows that I'll have to get innovative in the mounting approch.
Thanks again,
Mark

Mark,
I tried fitting one to my 78 SC, it didn't fit needless to say, to wide. But I was trying to have it face the front of the car like you mentioned. Now I'll have to try this again....like you in search of colder air. I was advised to not get rid of the engine and front condensors just to add another one.
