Monty Mufflers: On a 993
Does anyone have Monty Mufflers on their 993? If so I'm interested in opinions regarding how they fit when using Porsche exhaust tips and of course how the sound.

I used to work for a guy who had a '98 993 C2S that had Montys fitted to it. I actually chased them up for him, so I heard and drove it before & after the fitment. Whoa! It gave the car a very deep, raspy, rumble, which (personally) was bloodcurdling! The idling exhaust note (especially at startup) had the purposeful, high-pressured feeling of a good sport bike, crossed with a deep menacing rumble.
I can't describe how awesome it sounded under hard accelleration! He had the original 993 tips refitted to the mufflers and it looked totally stock. He's in his late 60s and he was complaining a little bit about a drone (which I've noticed with my Monty'd 2.7), but on the whole, it gave the car a very exotic note, which turned a lot of heads, yet still sounded pedigreed. Hope that helps!

Hi Adam,
Thanks for your help and input regarding the Monty's. They are now installed on my C2S and there're just great. ![]() Here's a photo before I installed them.

Hey Ron,
Glad to see you got a set and you're enjoying them! It's an awesome sound, isn't it?
