95 993 Remotes

So the guy I bought my 95 from did not get the keyless entry remotes when he bought it. I wondering if anyone has an idea how much $'s i'm looking at to get these and have them programmed to my car?? Any help would be much appreciated.

Remotes were an option for '95s, sure your car has remote entry? You can probably pick one up on eBay for less than $100. There are programming instructions for you to do it yourself (not sure if they require a working remote), but they're fairly exacting, time-consuming and complex. Or the dealer can program it for you.

If it's a '95 it may not have keyless entry.

Does your car have the little red LED's on the doors where the push locks normally go? If not, then you probably don't have keyless entry.

Yes.. there are little red led's on the doors.. and they blink when the doors are locked with the key (which is why I think I may have remotes).. I think I'll just take it to the dealer next week and ask them if it can be done....

Hey Richard,

My car has the little red LED's but no remote. I think that just means it has the immobilizer, which they all got.

Actualy.. No.. I figured out from the owners manual how to determine if you have the imobilizer (and therefore thr remote entry). There is an "idiot" light on the clock that will come on with the key in position 1 or 2. If the light exists, you have the imobilizer.. if not, you don;t. According to the manual, with the imobilizer, only the remotes are supposed to be used to unlock the vehicle...
