Climate Control

Hi,
I have a 91 964 with a blower issue. The AC fan blower does not operate. I am wondering if it is the fan switch in the climate control panel, it has almost zero resistance when turned. I feel no detents at all when turning the switch. Since this is my first Porsche I have nothing to compare it to. I know on most cars you feel a click each time you turn the knob.

Thanks,

Lon

A little follow up on this. The two are not related, it was a fuse that was blown in radio, however I still need some guidance on the fan issue. I get NO fan at all, the rear blower fan does not work ( checked all fuses front and rear) nor does the 2 front fans. I checked voltage at the plug to the rear motor and got .3 volts regardless of fan speed setting. does this mean anything to anyone? I am thinking the contol module is faulty.

Try posting this question on rennlist in the 964 forum. There is a lot more help on 964's there.

i see that Randal G replied to your post on rennlist. He really seems to know the workings of the 964 climate control!! do a search using his user name there; or search all of his posts, and you will find a lot of good info.

good luck,

max
