this forum needs some pictures!!
just to liven up the 964-993-996 board :)

how about a picture or two of your car.

bonus points if you are in the we can put a face to the name, and a name to the car ;)

i'll go first:

bring it on !!!

Bill Verburg 03-29-2004 02:00 PM

Max, I love your car?:)

bhensarl 03-29-2004 05:15 PM

Here's two of my girl. One before dental work (nothing like a little C4 off-road action!),

and one after. They aren't nearly as artsy as yours, though Max.
P.S. I love your car!

bhensarl 03-29-2004 05:21 PM

Nevermind, can't get the picture to load. Nice car though, Max. :)

maxnine11 03-29-2004 05:39 PM

email your picture/s to me Brian and I'll resize them or rename them and put them up.

above pictures taken in low light: during the first hour after sunrise, or the hour before sunset.
it helps anyone's car look good :)

bhensarl 03-29-2004 08:08 PM

Okay, now I got them to work...

Not the best quality pictures, but pictures nonetheless!

maxnine11 03-29-2004 08:52 PM

good pics Brian.

the cup wheels sure make a difference. IMO

that is a mighty big gun you have for keeping the crows out of the garden ;)

i took the liberty of turning your first pic into a B&W.

bhensarl 03-30-2004 04:07 AM

Ooh, that black and white looks nice. Thanks Max! As soon as there are some decent light conditions I'm going back out to take this one again with the smile fixed. And you're right. There aren't too many crows that 105mm Howitzer couldn't take down. You'd probably have to wait until they landed though...

Max - Those Rufs are the bomb. I was settled on MY02 Carrera wheels, but the more I look at your wheels, the more I lust. I did a quick google search but couldn't turn up anything... any idea who handles the Ruf wheels and cost??

waybrig 03-30-2004 08:31 AM

Here's a pic of mine resting after attacking my favorite twisties.

I love the first shot of yours Max. Really shows off the curves well.

nice black cab !! you don't have leaves there already do you ?? ;)

Richard, the lone Ruf distributor in N. America is Weissach in Vancouver, BC . They do not list a price on their website for any of the Ruf items; probably because of the constant fluctuation of the three different currencies they deal with.

Warning...they are heavy wheels. I never weighed them (i bought them with tires already mounted), but i am sure the rears are 30 lbs. :(

one other wheel that is very similar to the Ruf is the Kahn RSR wheel. they are lighter and less expensive. but 9.5" is the width of the rear.
I see that Stuttgart Perf. just down the road from you has them on their website. RSR wheels

i think the Carrera lightweights would look great on your cab; i'm sure that the Ruf wheels would be alright too.....i'll try to do a Photoshop install later tonight.

maxnine11 03-30-2004 02:25 PM

jtkkz, to get your whole car in the picture, you are going to either have to get a wide angle lense for your camera, or...get it the heck out of the garage!! ;) ;)

jtkkz 03-30-2004 02:32 PM

It does leave the garage quite often, and get driven.

this are older pics, i have not got the chance to take newer pics

maxnine11 03-30-2004 02:36 PM

yeah...I figured as much :) ....that's why I put the two 'winky-faces' in the post.

thanks for putting up the pics!

Gee thanks, I'm sure my wife will love you for that one.
