Forest Found In Air-ducts

As I washing my 996 the day after purchase, I peered into the front air-ducts and couldn't believe the amount of rubbish lodged around and in front of both radiators-paper,twigs,leaves, dirt, a small rodent( not really). I was wondering, is it just a matter of taking out those plastic panels in front of the wheels so I can get to other built up trash behind the radiators?
