noise with clutch engaged

I just got my car back from an engine rebuild, new dual mass flywheel and clutch. The problem is I'm getting some rattling from turning off my
ignition. Is this common with a 1991 C2? Is this a flywheel or clutch
problem and or both? Also, I also seem to be getting a very slight knocking
sound when the clutch is depressed or engages in gear durning slow speeds or acceleration. My mechanic says this
is due to the camshaft/crankshaft? Can someone kindly give me some advise before l spend a ton of money on something l don't need.

Thanks!
Stephen

I'm afraid I won't be of much help here. Sounds like you need to have real heart to heart with the guy that did the work. perhaps somethings not quite rightly put back together? FWIW on my '91 the tranny rattles like a coffee can fullo' quarters with my foot off the peddle, but its always done that, rattling goes away when i step down on the clutch pedal. P-cars have a "live" transmission so things are always spinning around in there. Could be maybe a bad throwout bearing? they can be bad right from the box and mechanics hate to go back in and change them when they are. good luck....
