Any upgrade of engine cooling fan?
 

My mechanic recommended that I replace the engine cooling fan and bearing in my 91 964 because the fan blades show some cracking.

Are there any upgrades like a lighter fan, more vanes, etc?

Or should I just buy a stock replacement fan.

There is a different part # for the 993RS and Cup fan. That said the specs are the same as for the rest of the n/a 993 line.

I've looked at literally dozens of 964 & 993 RS, RSR and Cup cars they all have what appears to be the same 12 blade fan.
