Where's the Leak?
94 C2...l have a lead getting worse right around the oil tank. At first I thought the drain plug was loose....no. I don't have my jack w/me now so I can't see exactly what the drama is. When you get a leak around the oil tank is it usually a hose issue?
Thanks |

I've had some hoses cut through by the clamps. There are 3 or so rubber hoses with clamps and some hard pipes. Also, the pop off valve is on the top of the tank. Did you overfill it?

My oil line leak was from the oil filter consol to the thermostat stat, leaking at the joint where the material/steel line come together. The oil ran down the line and looked like the tank was leaking.
The only way to tell is to clean the area and drive it a short distance and inspect. Good Luck, its really tight and a B*tch to work on... Don

btw-If you over fill the tank, you'll have injection problems first...
The oil will back up into the intake runners Don

Wouldn't an overfill will affect your plugs before your injectors? Seems like the breather hose will breathe a lot of oil drops into the intake or suck it from the oil tank and coat the plugs that way.
