Exhaust questions?

I just got my fabspeed super cup exhaust. After fighting with the bolts to get them loose, I got it on. My question is: The exhaust did not come with the round donut shaped gaskets for the cat to exhaust connection. Do I need to replace these? After tightening the bolts for the cat to exhaust coupler thingy (about 40ftlbs) I took the car for a 15 min drive. The bolts are still tight but the connection is loose. What should I do?

Is this a 993? There were two different muffler suppliers for 993’s: Bishoff and Gillette. They each had slightly different connectors for the cat to muffler connection. Perhaps you have the wrong one?

I had the same issue with Joe's system. We eneded up "rigging" it to work and all was well.

Its a 1996 993. The flange is like a flared out section of the pipe. A donut fits in the middle and the other pipe is flared as well. A clamp holds this together, and when tightened it is supposed to press the flared parts into the donut. This isn't working though. You said you rigged yours. What did you end up doing?
