Ferrari 348
Hello all, I was looking the newspaper this weekend and found a good (17k km) ferrari 348 1991 for sale.
I only owned porsches so have no idea about reliability and driveability of this car. My intention is not to swap cars but just buy this 348. Anybody have any positive or negative feedback on this car? Tks |

328 Good
348..just look at the prices of them...tells you what they are worth compared to the 328 and 355 355 Good 348 and 355 can really only be worked on by offical Ferrari dealers due to the diagnosis software not being available. The timing belts, as in all Ferrari models have both a time and mileage limit. You must have FULL service history (with invoices) and a comprehensive buyer's inspection done. No service history = no buy

If you think Porsche service is expensive, just wait until a trip to the Ferrari dealership. $5-10K service visits are very common. Great looking cars though.

Joining these replies with some other enquiries, 100% say about maintenance cost. And no space for DIY work.
And its half the fun to drive than a 993. IŽll save the money for a 993tt. Tks for the replies!!! |

I owned a 328 with 28k miles on it, it was a pretty good car.
It really never broke. But then again I really didn't use it as much as I use the Porsches. Sold it and bought a 993. 328 was easier to work on.... not as much fun to drive as the 993. Oh, I also have an 88 911 cab. It did the same thing the 328 could and more, with 50% less moving parts :-)) If you're going to buy a Ferrari, buy one with some hp. If your're worring about the money, don't buy one. |

Before I bought my 964, I queried several dealers of "exotic" cars. They said buy a Porsche or buy two Ferraris: one to drive and one in service. Buying a Porsche was the fiscally responsible thing to do.
