993 radio on even after key is removed?

Hi all, I noticed on one 993 that I drove that the radio seems to remain on, even after the key has been removed. The owner has an XM radio installation in the car, but the stock Porsche head unit. This was observed when the XM radio was not 'docked', but the wiring is still in effect.

Normal, or bad wiring?

Bad wiring, in my opinion.

It's odd. The radio actually stays on for about 5 seconds after I remove the key, and then it 'fades' off.

What you described in the post immediately before this one is normal--it's suppose to stay on for 5 seconds after you remove the key and then fade away.

Porsche unit stays on after the key is removed before you get out of the car.
