different type of oil leak

I have a leak coming from the curb side of my 1999 996 engine. it looks like some sort of sensor. has wires coming out of it and is located on the side of the block. It looks easy to repair with the removal of the exhaust manifold. what is it so I can buy the part?

I don't know 996 engines, but it sounds like an oil temperature or pressure sensor. If you could describe it a bit better, it might help someone who does know 996 engines.
