| Airbag Lights
My 1990 964 airbag lights came on the other day. My dealer thinks it may be the clock that needs changing (>$200!) and then a reset with the hammer. I know the clock was a very rare cause for airbag lights on the 964's, if it is the clock, does anyone know how to fix it at home, and what actually goes wrong with it??

Mine came on recently too and I had them reset it with the hammer for $45 or so. I was told you can also disconnect the battery for 5 minutes and it will reset - just be sure to do at least 15 minutes of "normal" driving without much idling so that the DME resets itself properly.

The airbag needs to be checked and the fault repaired otherwise the lights will continue to come on. If the battery is disconnected, start and run the engine for 20 minutes without driving the car and the DME will re-adapt itself

Got diagnostics results from the hammer, right sides sensor bad, clock bad. P.S. The lights reset for about 2 days and then came back on.
