Lowering the 964 W/ collar below the coil spring

Has anyone used the collar below the coil spring to lower the 964? It seems like there is 1" or more of room on the rear, not so much on the front, 1/4"? I can use M030 springs on the front and the screw collar on the rear. Does it work like that? Lower the coil 1/2" and the car settles 1/2 "? Thanks for your time and experience! Randy

I don't think you'd want to do that. You would have different spring rates. Just get a set of H&R or Eibach lowering springs - pretty inexpensive and sets the ride height nicely.
