993 interior leak

My 1996 Porsche 993 has a passenger side leak which previously shorted out the alarm control module. Extensive exterior water testing has not revealed the problem yet the condition still exists when driving in the rain. Has anyone experienced a similar problem and found the solution?

leak?

hello,

i dont know if you have a coupe or a cab. but if is a coupe you might want to check the windshield, a lot of 993 had a recall on them and its been an issue all along. if is a cab, look in the rear window as well the windshield. i hope this will get you cover...

My car is a coupe (forgot to mention that the first time) and I have isolated the leak to the right rear wheel well, there are 2 lines which pass into the passenger campartment (Oil Cooler?). Now I just need to determine the fix! Is it a cracked or missing seal or grommet?

Terrific sleuthing! Where in the wheel well? Can you identify the area better, or post a photo?

Send a message via Yahoo to FRED/LI
Check for any body seams in that area. Possible small gap in one of the welds.
