Cabin temperature sensor going mad by opened sunroof

Hello to all,

Hope you can help me with this strange problem…:

When I open the sunroof of my 964 the side-sills become warm (and I mean very warm….).
No warm air is coming out of the dashboard vents so the warm air is stopped by the ‘air mixing chamber’ in the front (lucky for me the mixing chamber is doing his job correctly...).

This ‘warm side sills’ thing is happening while the airconditioning is not on, so I have this idea that if the CCU is not working it can not be of any influence to the heater system.

Is it possible that the interior temperature sensor is noticing the fresh air from the opened sunroof and thinks the heater must
be on ?? ( Mind: the airconditioning is not on ! )

Does anyone had this problem ? Is this a cheap or expensive repair ?

Hope someone can help me with this. I bought this 964 specially with a sunroof for a ‘cooling ride’ even without the usage of the airco…) but when I open the sunroof
it only becomes warmer and warmer in the cabin…

Thanks in advance !!

Dick
