993 RS Steering wheel installation

I am trying to install the 3 spoke RS steering wheel onto my 1995 993. It appears the hub is too large for the plastic housing that fits over the turn signals.

Does anyone know how to make this work with a clean look. I can't imagine people are putting these nice looking steering wheels on with the plastic housing not used.

The MOMO hubs are like that. I always have to machine the base of the adapter hub down to clear the plastic surrounds. A nice chamfer does the job. Better to modify the aftermarket part than the stock pieces.
