SAI fix?

A gentleman on another Porsche forum reports that he ran a heat resistant hose from the SAI check valve to 2 ports welded into the exhaust just before each catalyst. That fixed his problem for good. If there's no visual inspection to worry about, this sounds viable to me.

Of course, the guides are still wearing and eventually will need to be replaced but this could pre-empt an expensive repair that might not be necessary just yet.
