there is a small amount of information in a book called "Porsche 911 Enthusiast's Companion" it is solely about the 964 cars written by Adrian Streather and is a must have and read if you love 964 cars. The car was built around unused 964 turbo bodies and were designed to fill a gap that year since Porsche delayed introduction of the 993 one year to the US market. He states that the generally accepted number is 256 cars, but it could have been as high as 450 manufactured. They were standard C4 with no turbo suspension or turbo tail. Quite rare I believe. Maybe I have teased you a little, but not much else is written about them - good luck with your search. Jim

You might find a sales brochure on 1994 Porsche cars and find additional information there. I always watch for stuff like that on ebay. Jim

The 964 C4 coupe widebody was called the 30 year anniversary addition or 30 Jahre.

There were about half as many made for the us market as there were the turbo 3.6 of which 409 non S versions were produced for the US. Although almost the same price as a turbo they were a hard sell since everyone was awaiting the newer less expensive 993 model in 1995 (for US).

I saw a beautiful midnight blue one on Saturday and there is a black one around the corner from me. The C4 widebody is a very nice car but heavier by some 40 kg, slower in overall acceleration and lost about 3 mph on the top end because of the added drag

Yes, it's a C4, but it does have the Turbo suspension (shocks and springs and sways). It has the turbo rear brakes, but not the turbo front brakes, so a 35 bar valve is used. It's my favorite car (I've got two of them )

pictures!

The silver car is getting its numbers this weekend before it hits the track! It's almost too pretty to be a track monster!

Your right it is too pretty to become a track monster and rare too. These should appreciate over time.

I wonder why Porsche used the 91-92 turbo (medium S4) calipers on the 92 America Roadster but used the smaller C2 front calipers on the the C4 widebody? I would assume you could easily upgrade the fronts since you already have the turbo rears.
