Clear corner light wires

I just recieved the new clear corner unit for my passenger side blinker from Pelican. The old clear corner had three wires going to the plug, brown / black-green / red-grey.
The new plug for the blinker only has two spades on it, I was told to cut the plug and tie on female spades and hook up. I've tried both ways switching the black-green and the red-grey to the respective plug and the light is real dim and the running light is blinking also.
If any one here knows the fix I'd appreciate it. TIA, Rick

If anyone has an old blinker bulb holder that has the 3 prong connection I'd would gladly pay you for it.
