CD changer install?

The thing fits neatly under the driver's seat (LHD), but I cannot see a good solution to running the cables to the radio. "Under the carpet" has been suggested, but I cannot see how to do it & hide the cables or keep them from getting stomped while driving.

I suspected that there'd be a route under the floorboards (to go behind the pedals and come out on top), but my cable snake keeps getting stopped by obstructions. I am too chicken to just start dismantling things to look to see if there's really such a route. Anybody else tried it & succeeded, able to give tips?

Thanks!

Gene Rankin

When I installed my add-on GPS system, I put the "brain" under the passenger seat and ran the cables through the center console. My cables are thin, so fitment wasn't a problem, not sure how it would work with a CD changer.

Got any pics of what you took apart to get to the routing you used, what you had to take apart?

I didn't have to take apart anything, just stuffed the wires in and routed them through the center console from the e-brake towards the front of the car. There is one area where the cables poke through the console by the ebrake and go under the seat, but I have the sport seats with high leg bolsters and you can't see it.
