964 Oil Fill/level Question

I recently added oil to my '90 964 - and have over filled it by approximatedly 1/2 - 2/3 of a quart (best guess based on low/high level marks on dipstick)
Is it safe to drive as is - or should I be removing the excess before driving? If removing excess is the only option, any suggestions for cleanest/easiest method? Siphon from res - or from the crankcase drain plug?

Thanks,

Mitch

I have siphoned from the reservoir before. It works pretty well.

How close are you to the high level mark in the dipstick?

Looks to be overfilled by 20-25% of the low and high marks on the dipstick.....

Do you mean if the difference between the low and high marks are 100%, then you are 20-25% higher than the high mark?

Yep, that's too high...
