Removing A/C Vent???

I have a problem with the passenger side A/C vent on my '96 and would like to remove it. However, it is unclear to me how this is done! I removed the cover on right side of the dash - that did not seem to be involved. I also searched the factory manuals but could not find the section on removing this.

Anyone tackled this yet?

I think there are two clips inside the vent, at the top. Check that area.

I do see the clips, but I am uncertain how to "unclip" them to remove the vent.

I was hoping that would be obvious once you saw the clips…. Sorry, I have never removed my vents, but noticed the clips there one time.

I would guess that they get pushed in.
