Food for thought

Hi Gents,

So I failed an emissions test today due to the typical fault codes associated with SAI. Going in for a check valve and $500 dollars later, I should be all set . However, it got me to thinking. How is it that no one has yet to figure out how to trick the OBD into thinking that the SAI system is operating perfectly? I mean we can land on the moon but can't do that? Am I missing anything?

Thanks All,

Kevin

The 993 Astronauts have been to the moon and back few times over...

You can do your own launch search (e.g. http://forums.rennlist.com/) or buy the solution ticket here:

The question is, has this been tested and actually work? Meaning if I install it will this pass emissions (SAI are only bad codes)?? Many have tried to go to the moon, only few have succeeded! Haha... P.s. Love the car, have a 96 blk/blk as well. So hard to keep clean!

Thanks!

Gents,

For anyone interested, I just spoke with the distributor. I guess it is not finished yet and the stock is awaiting assembly and bench testing, I am so confused, this guy could be making a good amount of door with all the people with the SAI issue.

The question is, spend 500-600 to install a new check valve (unsure if its the real reason) or wait to buy this for 299, erradicating the issue and using the extra 200-300 towards my new clutch!!!... car is currently off the road with a suspended registration... Ahh decisions...

Have a look here:

and here:

Fortunately, I never had the SAI related CEL issues (changed the SAI valve and cleaned the ports ~60K miles)
