I think they both look great. However, I really like how the gt3 wheels fill up the wheel wells. I think the twists would give the same effect if they were an inch bigger.

Good point. My PS attempt is more reflective of 19's. I'd stay with 18's and stock tire sizes to keep speedo correct. If I went this way, would likely replace shocks/struts and drop it some. I don't want to lose daily drivability, but an inch lower won't hurt.

Looks very sharp. I like much better than the twists.

Now in 993 land ...

The stock wheels on the 993 were really bland and conservative. They all make the car look like a VW. You can't go wrong with later wheels or aftermarket wheels like a BBS or Fikse.

The stock 17 inch Cup wheels while lacking for some in terms of appearance were at least lighter than any upgrades in size and performance. The GT3 wheels and tires probably won't affect your speedometer readings as it would be a +2 upgrade (tire size profile would offset the wheel diameter increase). Check with tirerack.com for 19" wheel upgrade for 993 and the GT3 wheels should just bolt on if offset are correct (may need spacers. These wheels will be heavier and the suspension may need to be reinforced as per Factory Tech Bulletin regarding putting later larger wheels on 993's.

Also have you priced each GT3 wheel lately? I paid $1000 for a rear wheel when I accidentally curbed my friend's new GT3RS wheel and put a 2 inch scrape on the side of the wheel. The tire would be another $500 so looking at around $6000 for new wheels and tires!

The wheels will never fit. Too wide in the rear, wrong offset.

Factory GT3RS wheels are the perfect offset for WB 993. Wheel Dynamics sells a replica that fits NB and WB 993 and 996. Made in Italy and TUV approved.
From teir website: These wheels are the best setup for track days. Allows the use of the 235/40/18 and the 295/30/18 tire setup on narrow body cars. Wheels will come in silver but can be done is RS Colors Red, Blue, and Black. $1499 per set! Wheels come 18x8et50mm 18x8.5et40mm 18x11 et63mm 18x11et45mm ![]() |

I had 18 twists on my C2s and they didn't fill the wheel arches properly, so I upgraded to imola 19's.
mine has lowered coils too. What rims are you running on your 993?. The GT3 wheels look awesome on your C4S 993 (even if they are virtual)

Mark is there an up charge for a color finish on the rims? The replica wheels look pretty nice, maybe done in a darker tone of silver or were you thinking of a color? Were you thinking of tracking Ginger?
Finally my car is due to arrive, today at my office in downtown Seattle! So, I can say I am officially a 993 owner. PM, me a mailing address and I'll forward you a CD of the 356 Bull session photographs, No, I didn't forget.

I think the originals are much better!
With the GT wheels your car looks like it is lifted. If you like a more aggressive look and have extra cash - I suggest to powder-coat your wheels black. It would look great with the color of your 993!
