Tachometer Swap?

Hello Friends,
When I purchased my 1991 965 last year, I noticed it had a 993 tachometer that was dated 02/1997 (installed 06/1997). It must have been switched with the original at some point. The PO knew nothing about it. It works and looks great.

I would like to offer this tach, pictured below, for a trade for the correct tach for my car, part number 965-641-322-01. Justification: I would like to keep my car original and also observe the Boost indication in the On-Board Computer (OBC).

My instrument tech at North Hollywood Speedometer (shameless plug, 'cause they do good work) said I should sell the 993 tach on Ebay, then buy the correct 965 tach, and pocket the difference. I would rather offer it here.

(965 track car owners with an aftermarket boost guage - here is a newer (maybe more accurate) tach for you, cause the motor gears do wear out. This one has never seen more that 6000 RPM. OK, maybe once or twice.

Thanks,
Mark
