Tire trailer hitch mounting?

I have a 90 C2 that I'd like to fit with a small hitch to pull track tires, tools and fuel jugs, etc. I have seen people at the track with 993s and 911SCs doing this but when I got up under the rear bumper of the 964 I didn't see much in the way of structure to mount to. Just the aluminum bumper itself behind the lic plate and it looks a little on the flimsy side for a 600lb trailer.

Does anyone have pics or a link to how they did it? Some light fabrication is fine - I can cut & weld steel pretty well.

I have a Da'Lan hitch made specifically for the 993. If you can weld, you could probably do something very similar very easy. Can't find a link for Da'Lan, but if you look on Hitchweb you can see a similar version and the install sheet.
