1994 965. . . .good deal?
I have been offered a 965 for $45,000 us dollars. i don't recall the mileage but Ive seen it and it is in good condition, though not perfect. Its been drIven, minor dents repaired, (new headlight that was damaged by a piece of steel that was on the road and hit the front, all repaired), has some chips on the bumper. Some track time. All original except for a B&B exhaust system. dark blue with tan leather. Suggestions?
thank you

One piece of advice:
Get PPI before even considering offering an amount. Do you have a link you could post with more info?

That may be high dollar for a car that has been tracked and repaired.. The 94 is a good year to get just understand if you need to dump money to do repairs then you may find something nicer for a couple more dollars..

PPI = Pre Purchase Inspection, done by an independent (from the seller) 911 service shop with a good reputation in the local area. It will be a good investment of a couple hundred $ before you pull the trigger on your purchase.
Regards, David

Thank you all. Id rather pay someone from the states to come to Venezuela and look at it before i goto the dealer here. One buddy took a 356 so they could do some repairs and the service techs asked where the computer plugged in (and they werent kidding around) Ill get some more info on the history from the owner and past it on. Thanks again

Wow...a turbo 3.6 in Venezuela. I thought all such cars would have been confiscated by now by the Chavez "Bolivarian Revolution". The guy selling the car probably just had his factory or business nationalized.
![]() Turbos are amazing cars but are very maintenance intensive. I wrench on my 911 myself for the most part, but I would hesistate to own one if I didn't live in an area with an adequate non-dealer 911 mechanic. If you can find one and the car passes a PPI, go for it! |
