Wiring type 964
I am looking to replace some wiring in my 964, it is the wiring that runs from the instrument panel back to the fuse box in the rear of the car,(basically the oil pressure gauge has shorted), does anyone know what type of wiring this is ie amps and width etc.
Thanks! |

Wiring
Galen,
I am looking at my 1991 911 C 2/4 Wiring Diagram book. Here is what I see: The oil pressure gauge has three wires connected to it; one is marked .75 OR (orange) and it is connected to terminal 3 of gauge plug II, it goes to common point "10" and then to terminal B15 of the Fuse Box and on to Fuse 18 (7.5A). Another is marked .5 BR (brown) and it is connected to terminal 4 of gauge plug I, this is a ground wire and goes to a common ground point, GP XV (Instruments, Side member, Left). The last wire is marked .5 GN/RE (green with a red stripe) and it is connected to terminal 2 of gauge plug II, it goes to terminal "T15" on the DME (under the driver's seat?) then on to the oil pressure sender. I believe the decimal numbers are wire conductor diameters in millimeters. I hope this helps, Mark
