964 service manual, what is the best?
Streather's book is useful but certainly doesn't claim to be a service manual. The Bentley manuals are reputedly better for the 80's cars, 964's, not so much. Are the factory manuals available/good/prohibitively astronomical?
Searches here have been inconclusive so far.

Factory manuals are available through Sunset for ~$500 or so (or so I've heard).
CD's are available...or try this site: Manuals

I don't believe 964 manuals are available new anymore. They come up on Ebay every so often.
Allot of people have them on CD, (this site & Rennlist). You could ask if anyone has the factory repair manuals? Should be done by private E-mail, since reproducing, is technically illegal). If you get them on CD, you could download them to a site like mimeo.com or similar, to get them made into 8 paper bound editions. |
