Wheel fitment help for NB 993s
This is a fantastic thread and I've learned a huge amount so far, thanks.
A question on wheels, however. The 18" rear Turbo 1 wheel comes in 40mm and 65mm offset. 993 362 140 00 with a 40mm offset 993 362 140 01 with a 65mm offset The stock wheels for my 993 NB are 9” wide with a 55mm offset (993 362 128 00) SO, Does anyone know which offset (wheel) should be used in a NB 993? I would assume the 65mm offset would push the wheel too far out, does this make sense? Also, the N/A C4 comes with the electro hydraulic power brake booster similar to the 993tt. |

The 55mm offset is for a 17x9 wheel. The 18" wheels you are looking at are 10" wide. For a NB you will need the 65mm offset wheels.

65mm offset is correct with 10" rear wheel on a NB 993.

Sorry for the dumb question but could someone please explain the purpose of the smaller black plastic tank that sits on top of the main fuel tank.
Is it a fuel expansion tank or return tank and if it is why does the 964 need one where an earlier car on injection doesn't have one?

Tank is for fuel evaporative emissions control

Not tested, but do you think a 964 RS America would have that 15#'s of lift at the rear the movable spoiler C2 does?
My bet it that the RSA with the tray spoiler has negative lift front and rear, making the RSA the best aero of the 911 series.
