Engine shutting down after pressing the clutch pedal

After connecting the battery back, I just went to a test drive, and when pressing the clutch approaching a speed bump, the revs went down until the engine shuts down. On my way back home, the car shuts down three more time the same way. Can someone tells me what is wrong or what to do?
Thanks in advance…

For some reason, it seems the car is not able to maintain idle. Stalling when pressing the clutch is common with a lightweight flywheel, do you happen to have one? The RPM’s drop so fast without the inertia of the flywheel that the idle circuits can’t catch the engine. The ISV doesn’t respond fast enough.

One of the first things to try is to clean the ISV. A dirty one responds even slower than a clean one. It’s a trivial DIY:

And make sure that the gas pedal is returning all the way. When I put new mats in mine, it would hold the pedal up just a little, and on first test drive, it would stall. I got a check engine light though, is yours on?

Thanks for your replies,
I bought my car 2 years ago and I really don’t know if it has a lightweight flywheel, is there a way that I can figure that out? Today I drove the car the same way as yesterday, and the problem seems to be fixed. I tried several sudden stops and the car will not shutdown. Anyways I will appreciate if you can propose more ideas about this issue so in the future I will know what is wrong and save me some worries.
Thanks again!!

Try cleaning your ISV. It should be done regularly regardless of any issues.
