early 1990s C2
should i jump at the opportunity of getting one?
how much to offer for one in running condition, under 100k miles, and good bodywork ? what are the more specific C2 Tiptronic things to be careful of? thanks ps. C2 tip or C4 manual ? ? ? |

I have seen several C2 90-91 5spd with less then 100K mile for
$15-20K. Buy what you like... Cheers

Early 90's common issues (get a real PPI):
- Cylinder head seal: Either fixed, leaking or good. - Failing dual mass flywheel (DMF): If clutch replaced, likely replaced. Look for records - Make sure the distributor belt has been replaced and has the vent kit installed - Tip: Again, that's a PPI issue. If fluids changed, should be okay.

They can be very solid cars, but as Dan said, a PPI is very important. Use a PCA, Pelican, or Rennlist recommended shop to do the PPI.
