Quick question... what size

socket wrench do you need to remove the irritating bolts that hold on the little black front bumpers?. (You think Porsche would off designed an easier way to change fog lights bulbs)

The car is a 993.
Thanks in advance.

Off the top of my head, a deep well 8mm should do it - but that's a guess, I'll look at the PET tomorrow.

Yup, the PET says it's an M5 nut, hence a 8mm socket should do the trick.

Pet?

I'm not familiar with this term, what does PET stand for.

Thanks

It's the Porsche electronic parts catalog (Porsche Electronische Teile). There are pdf versions floating around, sometimes available from Porsche.

I found it on Porsche.com, just cancel out of the password screen: PET, unfortunately it does not have the 964/993 (under 911, by year) available.

You can get a copy on CD from your local dealer for less than $10. Mine is through 2005 and the part number 00004340005. PP also lists this (2004 edition), but it is currently unavailable:
