Will removing the radio affect Immobilizer?
 

Recently purchased '98 Carrera S Coupe. Previous owner installed "killer" stereo system which I hate. If I remove the aftermarket head unit, will I upset the Immobilizer? (I sure wouldn't want to make it mad!) If so, could I install a small resistor in series with the 12v keyed line to simulate the radio? Obviously, the aftermarket head unit didn't affect the Immobilizer but I'm wondering if removing the unit completely would. Any advice/assistance would be gratefully appreciated.

As I mentioned over on your thread at Rennlist, no issues with removing the unit and cutting the wires. Remove at will!
