964 door removal question

For those in the know, is it easier to remove the harness out of the door (door card is off) or remove the connections in the car and leave the door wired?

It’s kinda six of one and half dozen of the other , it is simpler yes to remove the kick panel and unplug the entire door harness
If you choose not to remove the kick panel all the connections in the door would need to be removed and that is considerable …
