Clutch Question

After letting the car sit for a few weeks my wife decides to take it out for a spin. After she lets the car warm for a few minutes she attempts to put the car in gear but the clutch pedal goes all the way to the floor. She panics and calls me (I am in Iraq), I tell her to let the car warm up for a few more minutes then give it a try again. Car engages as if nothing has ever happened. She takes the car out for a spin and tells me that it is running very rough, I assumed it was because the car had not gotten up to operating temps yet. Eventually the car smoothes out and began to drive normally. The next day she decides to take the car to Austin (an hour away). After letting the car warm up for 5 min she attempts to put the car in gear and it will not engage. Once again after letting it warm up a few more minutes it goes into gear easily. For the rest of the day the car gives her no problems. My SC runs like crap unless you let it properly warm up, are the 993's the same way (how long do you have to let it warm up before you take off)? The nearest indy is in Austin which sucks since I am in Iraq for a few more weeks. Is the clutch problem a warm-up issue or is there something else about to bite me in the wallet? The reason the car has been sitting so long is beacause the convertable top is permanatly down until I return to fix it and we have been getting loads of rain in TX. Thanks in advance for your replies.

I'd be looking at the slave cylinder first.
