Porsche Crest 964 turns but wont start...

First of all hello everybody i just became a member of the forum,i have been reading the posts for months but hadn't registered as a member.
I enjoy reading everything about Porsche, i own a 94 964 Carrera 2 and has been good to me so far.
Now, the problem i am having with my car is that it wont start, the engine turns but it wont start, this might sound ridiculous but i haven't done any kind of repairs to it myself, so i have no clue where to look for the crankshaft positioning sensor nor the DEM relay ( is this the same as the fuel pump relay ? ).
I just started reading about that issue so i am totally new to it, i would appreciate any kind of help and advice on how to tackle this problem...thanks in advance

DME Relay - in the fusebox, not the same as the fuel pump relay. High odds that is what is causing your problem.

Same thing happened to me. DME relay number one culprit, they fail without warning and power up the fuel pump and the ECU. The new part number is 993.615.227.00, if the one in your car begins with 944 then it's probably the original one. They cost about £22 in the UK and can be found on ebay (probably $20-30 in the U.S). The relay is in the fuse box in the front of the car (open the front hood/bonnet) it is marked DME. Good idea though to buy Adrian Streather's book about the 964 if you want to learn about your car.
