91 964 turbo. oil gauges..HELP!!
I have a 1991 964 turbo, my oil temp and oil press gauges are fluttering at best. this started earlier this week and i cant seem to find out what is wrong?
on a side note..My speedo stopped working a few weeks ago and my abs light came on the same day. any help you c an give me with these two issues would be great! |

Sounds like you have a significant electrical problem
 . I wouldn't be surprised if these symptoms are all related.

The speedo works off one of the front ABS sensors. The ABS relay could be bad, and the control unit isn't getting power. Just a hunch.
As far as the gauges go, they are two separate sending units, so the problem is likely a ground or voltage issue, or a problem in the gauge. North Hollywood speedometer can most likely test the gauge for you. I don't suppose you've had a dead battery and had to jump start the car lately?? You might want to check the alternator output if this is the case, it's possibly over charging or charging erraticlly which could cause gauge and ABS trouble...
