Its a snow day. Time to see the 911 in snow action

So this morning, I get up and roll to work in the 911. It is winter, but the roads are clear, it’s a nice day with no clouds. I didn't check the forcast…

Its now 3:30, its snowing pretty good, 4-5 inches on the ground.. I guess I'll get to see how well my 4 wheel drive system in the 911 works.

I've driven in snow a lot, so I'm not worried about me. And I have faith in 20 year old german engineering. Now my fellow man out on the roads….. Yeah…. Not so fond or sure of their abilties.

My 89 C4 did very well in a fairly crappy CT winter with bald Pirelli P-zeros... I towed a Bmw 330 Ci out of a driveway with once. The large nob on the center console is your friend on the 89...

Well I've driven it rather extensively now.

I really got to say its not 1/2 bad in the snow. She floats more than I like, but I've had no traction problems. Her steering in the snow reminds me of early cars steering.
I blew up my Jeep good, I think I spun a bearing. So the 911 is my only car for right now, and I'm going to keep driving her.

Great to hear the car does well in the snow. I have the same car 89 C4. I love driving it. How many miles do you have on the car and have there been any major issues? I just bought mine as a distressed sale one month ago. The car seems to be fine except for a wierd inconsistent electrical problem. No oil on the garage floor which I was glad to see.
thanks Cons

Well mine is long since sold and I now have a 930- My C4 first had a rebuild at 168,000 miles because the engine was leaking like a stuck pig, but it ran great. Before the rebuild I blew off a well modded 2001 GT with many extras (cams, gears, pullies, exhaust, headers, blah, blah, blah). Then eventually I stuck an 86' 930 motor in the car and then it really kicked @ss, I will build another car identical to that car someday- it was so much fun.

I bought mine back in June. It has 172,000 on her. The previous owner really kept her in good condition.

My current issue is I blew a tire. So I got to replace all 4 tires. On the good news they were fairly cheap, 600 bucks.

Now I am having another issue, with the brakes. Other than these issues, I've had no issues with the car. I really enjoy her.
