AC in a 993... adequate in AZ?
I live in Phoenix, AZ. Can anybody tell me if the air conditioner on a '95 993 car would be able to lower the temp to a comfortable level given our 110 degree plus summer days out here?
I really think I 993 would be a fun daily driver but I don't want to melt. Thanks! TL

Absolutely; that is one of the reasons I upgraded from a 3.2 Carrera. I could not leave that car outside in the middle of summer and expect the AC to really get it cool enough. With the 993 I can actually do that and it will be fairly comfortable in a fairly short time. Just don't expect it to work like a typical American AC system.

I live in the Palm Springs area of California so I know about heat. I have a 95 993 and it works better than I ever expected it to. I use the car as a everyday driver and am out in 110+ plus tems all the time ac going cool inside and the car has never got hot.

Choose a light color like silver. If you buy a black 993, you will cook.

When I drive down from Flagstaff in the summer, the air conditioning in my 97 is as comfortable as can be expected.
I suggest covering the windshield and cracking the windows while its parked in the sun. |
