Bilstein shocks std vs hd

What is the difference between the Bilstein HD shocks and the standard ones. It appears that both are sold by Pelican Parts. It appears that a lot of people talk about the merits of the HD's, but some people report that the ride is stiffer than stock.
Any comments?
thanks,
Don

I believe they're all HD. Check out Bilstein's corporate site and I think all you'll find are HDs and PSS10s.

Chris.

The Yellow ones are Standard and the chrome finish are the HD.
When I replace them the mechanic fitted the yellow bilsteins initially and I declined to take the car cause I had explicitly asked for HD so the garage kept the car for another 2-3 days. So even if they don't show in the website I suppose there are compatible models.
