Well I guess it's time to put these cars in the "Next Generation" phase of 911's. What I mean is, I'm going to start a thread on replacing my clutch 85K miles, and doing some bodywork/fixes to the front and rear bumper covers, along with front brakes. After years of looking on the 911 Technical forum, it's time we start "fixing" 993's. More to come....

Well, I've got 10 hours into disconnecting everything to remove the motor, for clutch replacement, my god..... this is triple the work than my 74 911 w/3.2L.

I'm back with some more picws...
The motor is out and replacement parts is underway. The car has 85k miles, so I'm changing the following parts: Sparkplugs, distributor caps and rotors, distributor belt, flywheel (dual-mass) clutch/pressure plate, both oil filters and air filter. Oh, and as you can see, a rear hood shock!!!

Just an update on my clutch/tune-up job. The car is running great and the clutch is awesome. I learned alot about this car in the last month or so. Compared to the 3.2 911's, the 993 is just awesome. With 86K on the clock, I feel I have alot of fun time to be had.
