Leakdown/ compression results...okay?
I'm looking at a 93 964 RSA with 70,000miles on it. Compression shows 142-150psi on all cylinders. Leakdown shows less than 10% on all cylinders. Slight leak in head gasket. Shop reports says leak may be from car sitting in storage for the past 4-5 months. Also, the leakdown may be even better if the car had some recent drive time on it. Numbers seem good to me. Any reason to think otherwise?
I've been researching online and seems that a leakdown of 5% is excellent, 10% very good, 20% is not good.

I agree that often a leakdown will improve after some spirited driving.
If the PPI checks out, the numbers don't seem like a reason to pass.

Now in 993 land ...

IMHO those numbers are ok: Act like you are worried and knock the price down a little. Then buy and drive the car like it is meant to ...
