Help- Distribitor
Dear All
I am replacing my distributor cap and rotor. The Bottom rotor just moves and is not lock like the top distributor? Andrew |

Sounds like the distributor belt is broken. This can burn a piston if the second distributor is firing, so don't start the car until this is fixed. You will also want to add the vent kit that will prolong the life of the replacement belt.

Does anybody know how often do we have to change the $7.00 distributor belt?

Andrew,
Like Kris said, you should only need to replace the belt, not the whole distributor like the dealer would tell you. Matt |
