Porsche Crest 964 question

I have two questions, the first is does it matter which side up the sealing rings face for the heat exchanger when reinstalling them?

And the second is what valve covers do you prefer OEM? or after market billet aluminum? My stock covers will not stop leaking and are probably warped

um, Thanks for trying I found the answer in my trusty 964 enthusiast's companion. for anyone who wants to know the the seals have a fine seam on one side and are flat on the other side. the seam faces the heat exchanger.

I would still like to know everyone's thoughts on the valve cover question

Mine were the early magnesium ones with flaking paint. Got billet which look nice and have had no leaks.
