gaskets & seals porsche vs aftermarket?
Hi first time posting here after reading for ages
I am in the process of thinking about dropping the engine in the 964 and replace the easy to get to seals on the engine. After 17 years some of the seals have cried enough! Question is it best to use genuine Porsche seals gaskets or are the aftermarket ones fine? I would rather do it once rather than chase leaks down the track... |

use OEM only
HI;
I recommend always using OEM if available and the price difference is not much. On window seals, ALWAYS use OEM. There's little price difference & the aftermarket seals do NOT fit well. Sometimes smaller items are actually less from Porsche dealer. |
