Rear Brake Trouble
Hi! I'm trying to do the rear brakes on a 1990 964....no one seems to know the part number for the vibration damping pads. These are the 2 piston calilpers, not 4 piston.
Also, how critical is it to replace the damping pads? |

You do not really need the dampers. There are a lot of folks who run without them. If you do want to replace the dampers, the part number for the 44mm calipers, i.e. the 2-piston early calipers is 965-351-096-00-M260. They are $5.50 each from our host. Yes, they do show up as front caliper dampers but they are the correct size for the early 2-piston rear calipers.
Just a thought, a lot of folks have upgraded to the later 4-piston rear calibers....
