took the wrong oil drain plug - what now?
Hi,
I started to change the engine oil on my 1995 993 for the first time yesterday. But as I see now, I took the wrong drain plug from the bottom of the car. ![]() Now the question is how do I put these together again. And what is it purpose of this plug? thx Peter

I did the same thing on my first oil change. It was scary until I posted the same question and someone posted this pic. Put it back together in this order and screwed it back in and all is well. Not sure what it does.

Disregard the diagram. I pulled the 964 engine crankcase instead of that from a 993.
Are they items 16, 17, 18 and 19 in the diagram below? If they are, that is the oil pressure regulator. The diagram will assist you in putting it back together. ![]()
